Tiens Online Training Lesson 3: Your First Order
Your first order
In order to determine what your ideal first order is, we need to determine what type of distributorship would suit your circumstances.
For the purposes of this lesson, there are basically two types of distributors who are divided into four different distributors as shown in the MLM Quadrant diagram you see here.
Two types of networks (Consumers or Operators), four types of distributors (Users, Referrers, Retailers and Network Builders)
Consumer Network
This is the network comprising users mainly. These are usually interested only in consuming the product. We have users whose interest is exclusively consumption. Then we have referrers who are users but also are very good at referring others to the wonders of the product. They tend to be very happy with results of the products and want to get others on board - but are really not the type that would go as far as building the business per se.
Operator Network
This is the network that comprises your business building distributors. These are the ones that are actively building the business. We have retailers whose major intereste is the selling and retailing of the products (sales). Then we have network builders who are your true network marketers because network builders will be very good at all three, that being some moderate to high retailing, referring and also using.
When it comes to the status of distributors in the business, there are three broad kinds.
1. Exclusive product user – This type of distributor joins only for the product use and the discount available. In short, they would not be interested in building the business at all. They may also be interested in the bonuses that come through though they rarely follow those up unless they have been informed about them. They are in the Consumer network.
2. Part time distributor – These are interested in the business and want it to work. They join because they are looking to create a viable secondary income. Many times these will go on to become full-fledged business builders. If they are able to maintain the momentum required to create a viable secondary income, these would usually consider quitting their day jobs or other sources of income in order to concentrate on Tiens.
3. Full time distributor – These have no other source of income thus need to make this opportunity work in order to meet their monthly expenses. They are usually willing to do what it takes to make that much needed income. These tend to have more time available for the business.
You first order will be greatly influenced by what type of distributor you would like to be.
Exclusive Product User
The idea is to purchase products worth K1,000, 000 (ZMK) or US $200. This can be composed of whatever the distributor feels is ideal for a good healthy start. Find some examples of good orders to get you started on the path to good health here. These can go on to be on a monthly health maintenance re-order cycle.
Part Time Distributor
These have other incomes, so the focus may be on network building or selling. Let me make a statement right now…
"This is not a selling business but you can make lots of money selling in this business!"
Though it may sound like an oxymoron, the truth is that selling is not going to build and guarantee your lifetime income in MLM, what does that is Network Building.
So what is the difference?
Selling is when you focus on marketing and moving products through retail. That means you make money off the mark up between the price you pay and the price you sell at. Usually in Tiens it’s a markup of between 15 – 30% based on which region you are. This is ideal if you want to make your “bread and butter” income for taking care of all those living expenses as well as building and expanding your stock by re-investing (ploughing back) all or at least 50% of your profits back.
Network Building on the other hand is when you focus on bringing in other distributors who perfectly duplicate the system. That means they all become 3 stars and become regular users of the products through consumption mainly and some selling if they so wish.
This method takes time to see income but builds over time a very solid and reliable income generation system that will remain giving you passive earnings for life. The best part is that you only get to set it up and do the grunt work once!
In the developed world many MLM companies use “Auto-ship Sales” to do this. Auto-ship sales is when you have your new downlines or distributors sign a “Direct Debit” mandate that gives Tiens permission to debit money out of their personal account each month for products to be purchased. We are in the process of putting in place the same but you can make a decision to spend about $100 worth of products each month and ask your entire group to do the same each month.
Below is an illustration of the same method and how powerfully it can build your income. Please bear in mind this is an illustration based on the ideal situation, however, in many cases incomes may vary greatly due to the human factor. What you see below is an example where everyone does what they are supposed to do at the stipulated time.
Phase 1 (4 Stars)
1. You first go to 3 stars. You then ensure that each month you buy your products for $100.
2. You then bring in 5 people who each join and go to 3 stars and they also ensure that each month they buy products for $100.
Income breakdown
· Turnover ($200 from you + $1,000 from your downlines) + ($100 from you + $500 from your downlines) = $1,800Pvs
· Income for you = $244
Phase 2 (5 Stars)
1. Your 5 each bring in 5 people and each one goes to 3 stars. Your new 2nd generation network has 25 people plus your five plus you making a total of 31 distributors.
2. You plus your five plus their twenty five all purchase your monthly products for $100.
Income breakdown
· Turnover ($5,000 from your downlines[going to 3 stars]) + ($100 from you + $3,000 from your downlines) = $8,000Pvs
Income for you = $320
Phase 3 (6 Stars)
· Turnover ($25,000 from your downlines[going to 3 stars]) + ($100 from you + $15,500 from your downlines) = $40,500Pvs
Income for you = $1,620
Phase 4 (7 Stars)
· Turnover ($125,000 from your downlines[going to 3 stars]) + ($100 from you + $78,000 from your downlines) = $203,100 Pvs
Income for you = $10,187
Phase 5 (8 Stars)
· Turnover ($625,000 from your downlines[going to 3 stars]) + ($200 from you + $390,500 from your downlines) = $1,015,700 Pvs
Income for you = $61,016
As can be seen, potentially network building will always give you greater and better income by far than any selling ever will. So, for those looking to build a lifetime income, this is most certainly the route to go.
It can take anything from 1 year to 5 years for one to go from phase 1 (4 Stars) to phase 5 (8 Stars). It depends on the circumstances prevailing at the time and the determination of the distributor in point. Whatever the case, the potential is stunning!
Full Time Distributor
This is the type of distributor that decides to take on this business as their sole source of income. As such, depending on their lifestyle and income level, selling would most certainly be the first way to get started.
In such cases, all the initial products they buy (ZMK1,000, 000 or US$200) would be for retail. This means they would make a living off the mark up until such a time that the bonuses generated match their monthly expenses. This way, those looking to invest and run a legitimate business out of Tiens from day one that will allow them to earn a living can do so right away.
Remember this though…
The real money in network marketing is not in retail selling, it is always in network building and specifically consumption.
You will be able to find different combinations for product purchases according to your level of investing and plan here.
